Pilates focuses on controlled strength and stability, while yoga emphasises flexibility, breath and flow of movement.
Should I choose Yoga or Pilates
If you are hypermobile I would recommend Pilates. If you are hypermobile and enjoy Yoga you need to control your movement ranges.
If you are stiff Yoga can really help to stretch and release.
Both practices compliment each other so building both into your routine is highly effective.
